Join Greens members at the stall at Brisbane Pride Fair Day to chat with members of the community, and build the movement to support rainbow communities!

It's been a massive year for the Greens fighting for the Queer community in Queensland, with some powerful wins like including counting queer people in the census for the first time and queer couples finally being counted as single family unit by QLD Health.

The fight continues: our rights, healthcare and community spaces are under threat. The state government is blocking trans youth access to healthcare and anti-discrimination laws, QLD Education has left the Pride in Diversity program, and far-right fringe groups are being funded by billionaires. It is more important than ever that we show up with strength and numbers to show that queer rights are non-negotiable and share the message that we all deserve to have the rights and ability to live safely and freely.

What Does Volunteering Entail: Join us for a shift to talk to people about our LGBTIQA+ policy and other local campaigns, or help set up or pack down the stall. You don't need to be a political pro - we will have the details for you on the day, Greens MPs and an experienced volunteers on hand to answer any questions. It's always a lot of fun!

The day will be divided into four volunteer shifts: Set up, talking to fair day attendees, then packdown. Timings are below.

We'll contact you to find a slot that works best!

Allies Welcome!

What to Wear: Fabulous and Green, but proudly no dress code enforced. Feel free to glam up your look. Just remember to dress for a warm day, bring water, and be sun smart!

Timing: The day will be divided into four volunteer shifts: 8am set up, 10am-2:20pm, 1:30-5pm, then packdown. The event runs from 12-9pm, and we'll set up from 11.30am.

Finding Us: Stall will be at New Farm Park. Individual stall locations aren't released yet. We may be busy talking to people on the day so give the volunteer coordinators some time to get back to any calls or messages.
