Enjoy SE Qld habitats with a bushwalk with your fellow Greens! Come and enjoy this bush setting on the beautiful Sunshine Coast and experience a unique walk through the heritage-listed former railway tunnel. Bring a picnic basket, BBQ fixings or grab a bite or drink from the nearby bakery after the walk for a fun social morning, and don't forget to check out Landsborough’s Pioneer Park and the playground for the young at heart.

Join your fellow Greens for a friendly get together and bush walk through a section of Dularcha National Park featuring Eucalypt forest and riparian areas with flooded gums, cabbage tree palms and rainforest plants. A heritage listed 93.5 metre-long, curved former railway tunnel in the northern section of this trail makes this a unique adventure. Birdwatchers will enjoy the diversity of birds along the trail early and late in the day.

Trail Notes:

This is an easy 6km out and back trail through Dularcha National Park between Landsborough and Mooloolah. The trail is a favourite outing for families and is bike and horse friendly. Built in 1891 and in use until 1932, the Dularcha Tunnel is a heritage listed 93.5m railway tunnel, and one of only two tunnels along the old narrow-gauge North Coast Line between Brisbane and Gympie. The Dularcha Railway Tunnel provides a seasonal roosting site for microbats, including large-footed myotis. Visitors are asked to move quietly through the tunnel to avoid disturbing them.

Track Rating - Easy to Moderate - tracks may be hilly and have uneven surfaces in sections.

Dogs are not permitted at this national park.
