Join your fellow Greens and Gabba Ward Councillor Trina Massey at Oxley Creek Common, a serene patch of bird-inhabited wetland in the midst of an agricultural and industrial area for a 4.6km bushwalk to see the Secret Forest!
This walk is perfect for beginners as this track is very flat and well graded. Together we'll set out on a walk through Oxley Creek Common, where with any luck, we'll hear or spot the Eastern Yellow Robin, the Varied Triller or the Fairy Wren along with galahs, whipbirds and other usual suspects.
Keep your eyes peeled for your organisers in Green Shirts at the Red Shed (where there is parking available). We'll meet at 8am for an 8:15 start - registrations are essential so we know how many to expect!
Trail notes:
The track is dog friendly on leads, but please be responsible for your pet and be aware that other people may also bring dogs along.
Oxley Creek Common can be accessed by bus, with the nearest stop at the Sherwood Bus Depot (Routes 598 and 599 along Sherwood Road) and is located about 1.8 km from Sherwood Station.
