Join us in celebrating the art of resistance and solidarity with food, art, stories and music!
We’ve been inspired by all the people who’ve shown up for Palestine and Remah Naji’s
campaign. Resistance and solidarity are skills we learn and do together. The past months have
given us many inspiring instances of solidarity and resistance in advocating for the first, and
only, Australian-Palestinian candidate.
We invite you to join for a night of celebrating the people
and communities who continue to make solidarity and resistance possible in Brisbane.
In celebration of our communities, there will be opportunities to share your stories of solidarity
and resistance on the night. Please contact Lamisse if you’d like to share a story.
- Dinner: Palestinian cuisine, provided by local chef Ghofran (Palestinian Food Brisbane)
- Live music performance from local jazz virtuoso, Lily Daoud
- Arabic music curated by Queensland Music Award nominee, Joey Bcharre
- Art auction with photography, prints, ceramics and textiles from local and interstate artists
- A raffle with fun prizes: win a pair of Remah’s favourite heart-shaped sunglasses, a book pack
- of Palestinian writers from Avid Reader, a selection of watermelon goodies and more!
Proceeds from this event will be donated to Remah Naji - Green’s Candidate for Moreton
