Senator Penny is coming to the ACT to join Greens MLA Laura Nuttall, ASPA President Andy Mison, and AEU ACT Branch President Angela Burroughs, to talk about the future of public education in the ACT.

The ACT is the only Australian State/Territory where our public schools are "fully funded" to 100% of the School Resourcing Standard. So why are there still kids being left behind? And why are families still out of pocket for school expenses?

Our current funding model was only ever designed to get 80% of our kids across the line. So what does "full funding" mean to those other 20% of school students?

Join us for a deep dive into public school funding and the role of state and federal governments in ensuring every child has access to quality and free education.

You'll hear from:

  • Penny Allman-Payne, Greens Senator and spokesperson for Education (Primary & Secondary)

  • Laura Nuttall, Greens MLA for Brindabella and ACT Greens spokesperson for Education

  • Andy Mison, President of the Australian Secondary Principals Association

  • Angela Burroughs, Branch President of the ACT Australian Education Union
