The major parties are captured by big corporations like property developers, banks, and fossil fuels. They take millions of dollars in corporate donations to fill their election warchests, and have handed over the keys to our city in return.
We’re growing our movement to take our city back.
You’re invited to The Greens’ Rec Room Jam to launch our candidate Seal Chong Wah for Paddington Ward on Sunday 5 November from 3pm-9pm at Lefty’s Music Hall in Caxton Street.
You’ll be serenaded by an incredible line-up of musicians: Ben Ely (Regurgitator) & the Mungo Fungo Band, Emma Bosworth & the Meeting Seasons, and Me From the Future with Seal. You’ll hear inspiring speeches from Stephen Bates, Federal MP for Brisbane, and Trina Massey, Councillor for the Gabba Ward. You’ll belly-laugh from jokes and quips by MC Mandy Nolan, Greens Candidate for Richmond. And you’ll celebrate the extraordinary opportunity we have to elect a Green Councillor right here in Paddington Ward – Seal Chong Wah!
With less than six months to the Brisbane City Council election, now is time to band together, meet other Greens who are supporting our campaign, and celebrate the exponential growth of our party.
The Greens don’t accept corporate donations. Instead, we rely on people power to win. We need to grow our Greens representation in Council to establish free public transport, greenspace, and affordable housing. And all of this starts with you.
Make sure you get your tickets for The Greens’ Rec Room Jam! This is an event that is not to be missed.
We can’t wait to see you there.
