How come sexism, corruption, poverty, and racism are on the rise in one of the wealthiest, most diverse countries in the world? Could it be that the dudes running things are more invested in fossil fuels than in running the country so that it lasts another 60K years?

It could be in the second half of the year, or as late as May 2022, but the chance is coming up *quick* to kick this rotten government out of office.

Come meet some of the people working around Australia and Queensland trying to do just that.

Join us at the QUT Botanic Bar to meet up with Leader of the Australian Greens Adam Bandt, and Co-Deputy Leader Larissa Waters, to hear about our plan to tax billionaires to have free uni, secure housing for everyone, properly funded services to respond to gendered violence, and a plan to run the economy without cooking the planet.

This is a great opportunity to ask any questions you may have of Adam Bandt and your Greens Senator for Queensland, Larissa Waters. You don’t have to know anything about politics to come along.

This event is co-hosted by the newly formed QUT student society and the Queensland Young Greens, on unceded, sovereign aboriginal land. We pay our respects to elders past and present.

This event is open to students and staff. We will provide snacks and a small bar tab (for students only).
