A community forum with Senator Andrew Bartlett to discuss taking power back from corporations and putting it into the hands of the community.
You're invited to meet with Senator Andrew Bartlett to discuss the needs of your local community and what we can do to put the power back into the people's hands.
For years our democracy has been chipped away to give increased power to corporations, at the expense of the community. Wages are stagnant and joblessness and underemployment are both rife while corporate profits are soaring. Donors to political parties are holding increased powers over government agenda, developers have control over the shape of our cities and towns, all while important infrastructure and social services funding is slashed leaving at-risk Queenslanders vulnerable. Community groups struggle to have their voice heard or to get a foot hold to fight back.
The system is broken, but we can change it.
