It’s time to end Greyhound Racing in Queensland! Join the rally on 1 August to send a clear message to the Government that it’s time to end cruel racing of animals.

Greyhounds belong in the park, not on the track. The Coalition for the Protection of Greyhounds is leading a rally the day after Aotearoa New Zealand stops greyhound racing on 31 July.

As Greens MP Michael Berkman pointed out: Over 64% of Queenslanders want to end racing. At least 30 dogs have been killed in just one year. With Labor and the LNP in Queensland pocketing over $54,000 in donations from the gambling industry last year, it’s not surprising that they’re refusing to act. The Greens will keep fighting for this barbaric act to end.

Bring your greyhounds. Meet at Queens Gardens at 10am. Come hear from advocates and rescue organisations, and then march on to Parliament House to help protect greyhounds, and also stop the influence of the gambling industry.

Wear your Greens shirts and bring your signs to send a unified message to the Government to end this cruelty. Let’s protect animals from further harm.

See you there!
