Our policies are the foundation of our strength, principles and visibility in the national political conversation.
Join our state National Affairs Committee to help us form our positions on policy proposals that have been recommended for adoption by the Australian Greens National Conference (being held 20–21 June).
These policies have been suggested by members across the country and have undergone extensive consultation between policy delegates from each state and territory.
National policies with proposed changes being considered at this Conference include:
Economic justice (29 proposals)
Corporate governance (2 proposals)
Climate change and energy (10 proposals)
Science and research (4 proposals)
Nuclear and uranium (1 proposal)
Agriculture (4 proposals)
Animals (1 proposal)
There are policy proposals for state-owned grocery stores, public funding for science research, banning dynamic (algorithmic) pricing, prohibitions on greenwashing, amongst many more.
The meeting will take place entirely online via Google Meet. If you can only make it for part of the afternoon, no problem – just drop in when you can.
You can view the proposed changes via the documents linked above, or in this spreadsheet, which includes initial comments from our delegates. Members are welcome to add their reflections on each proposal by right-click on the relevant proposal and clicking 'Comment'.
Accessibility: Out of respect and for the needs for other participants, please ensure you are in a quiet space with headphones when joining this meeting. Live captioning is available via Google Meet, but please note that this has only an accuracy rate of around 80%. Participants are asked to speak slowly, clearly, and note they may be asked to repeat themselves.
